EAST LOMBOK CATARACT PROGRAM


The Foundation’s program in Selong, East Lombok, offers free cataract surgery to people in the lower socio-economic group.

The Program commenced in January 2008, with resident ophthalmologist at Selong Hospital, Dr Endro Pranoto, and his theatre team, supported by funding from JFF/YKI, including a YKI screening team, trained in Bali in November/December 2007.

On 21 June 2008 the program was officially launched by the Bupati of the District of East Lombok.
