Dennis has been working in the business environment for the whole of his working life.

He initially commenced his own Chartered Accounting practice in Adelaide incorporating a property syndication business. Dennis left the accounting profession to own and operate a retail sporting business, building it to 34 stores operating over five states and employing in excess of 450 people.

This business was sold to a private equity firm and Dennis then acquired and is currently operating Burns for Blinds, a retailer in the window furnishing industry.

Dennis sat as an independent Board Member of Tatachilla Winery including the period of merger with St Hallets Winery and listing on the Australian Stock Exchange.

Dennis has various property and development interests, is married to Anne and has three adult children and two grandchildren.

Dennis has been a strong supporter of the Foundation for some years.
